Values
Into Your Hands’ Board of Directors
are motivated by faith and social responsibility, a belief in
the human potential, and personal integrity.
We believe it is our social responsibility to:
- help meet the needs of the children of rural Uganda,
- be accountable to our generous benefactors, and
- foster collaborative relationships with our partners in development.
Faith and Social Responsibility
We are a socially responsible organization
motivated by charity, hope, and compassion. We extend our hands
in service to make life better for the most vulnerable. We
espouse the principles of social justice and believe
in the innate potential, dignity, and sacredness of each
person regardless of religious beliefs, gender, race, sexual
preference, or social background.
Education
We believe that education is the key to initiating and sustaining social and economic change. Accessible education will foster a community that values justice, knowledge, and peace. Enterprise education and vocational skills training will empower youth and adults to become productive contributors and leaders in their communities.
Entrepreneurship
We believe all individuals have the capacity to transform themselves and their community through meaningful and dignified work. Sustainable micro-enterprise development creates long-lasting change and breaks the cycle of dependency.
Accountability
Into Your Hands is committed to the highest standards of accountability and resourcefulness. Because of our trusted relationship with the Makondo community, Into Your Hands can ensure that our contributors’ generous donations will be life-changing and will perpetuate future economic and personal growth. As good stewards, it is our responsibility to ensure that funds are transparently, efficiently, and effectively used.
